Winter Camping at Calwood

Writer's picture: bouldertroop72bouldertroop72

In late January, Troop 72 ventured up to Calwood to setup camp in cold weather. This campout consisted of sledding and merit badge work. This was one of the first campouts for some of the younger scouts. Everyone made sure to pack many layers so they could stay warm in these freezing conditions. This campout was a chance to knock some camping requirements out of

the way and an introduction to cold camping for a lot of younger scouts. This Calwood campout is also in preparation for the Klondike Derby competition, which is coming up very soon!
